Enigma Quests has three newly revamped rooms at their Holborn location after having closed their Shoreditch location. While the rooms have similar names, they are completely redesigned and brand new adventures!
We tried out the Inventor’s Odyssey Through Time, in which our team had to hunt after a rogue time traveller to retrieve a power source in the past to change the future. Or the present? Things get confusing with time travel.
While I won’t spoil any of the puzzles or details on the set design, it’s a thoroughly themed room with some very fun puzzles along the way. The narrative is quite linear, which helps keep things on track and moving. There’s plenty to do, though the rooms themselves are a little on the smaller side, making moving around with a group a little challenging at times.
With plenty of tasks and puzzles to get stuck into, it’s a very entertaining room filled with brilliant set pieces and fun distractions. Every step was generally easy to figure out, so this is definitely more on the beginner/intermediate side of rooms. We definitely had fun with the set effects and time travel aspect of things.
My team of 4 experienced escapers made it out in 29:50 minutes, a speedy run through with a great conclusion.
