Wilder! is a dark comedy featuring at the Camden Fringe, with one more show tonight at 5pm, so grab those tickets if you want to see it!
In a small suburban town, the local garden club has everyone in a tight grip while gearing up for their annual festival. Meanwhile, glamorous young couple Gloria and Gregory Wilder seem to have it all, but there’s trouble brewing beneath the surface. As tensions rise, secrets bubble to the surface, threatening to bring it all tumbling down.
This show has had a good dose of development already, and it shows! It’s professionally staged with a good bit of gorgeous stage dressing, well chosen costumes, and very solidly rehearsed fight scenes that delight and surprise in equal measure.
The story unfolds slowly, at just the right pace to keep the audience engaged and wanting more. The colourful cast of characters keeps things interesting and the plot moving forward as things spin more and more out of control.
With a charming cast who perfectly inhabit their caricature-esque characters, it’s a delight of unhinged madness progressing faster and faster as the narrative unfolds. A delight of dark comedy with plenty of surprises and many laugh-out-loud moments in store. A gorgeous little show that shows off the best fringe theatre has to offer!
