Enigma Quests’ Escape Arcade has been around for a bit, and I have a few visits under my belt, but haven’t actually written a proper preview about it yet.
Near Chancery Lane, Enigma Quests has created a wonderfully exciting concept, an escape arcade! There are 30 rooms within the experience, each with its very own theme and game mechanics. Teams of 2-4 players get one hour of play, with each game lasting for 5 minutes. Some games are more physicals, others more brainy, some based on memory or logic, others based on fast reactions or team work. The huge variety within the mini games keeps it exciting and fun throughout.
Some of the rooms are fully accessible, others partially accessible, with each room clearly indicating the level of accessibility on a plaque on the outside. Having played the arcade with a friend who is a wheelchair user, this was very helpful in deciding which rooms to hop into.
The arcade offers such a great experience, whether you’re playing for fun with a couple friends, or competitively with several groups. I’ve enjoyed every visit so far! My favourite rooms are probably The Library, The Museum, and Area 51, but I haven’t even tried all 30 rooms over my 5 visits yet!
They also have a great bar to hang out in, with boardgames available while you wait, and have started serving pizza as well. You can also try one of their three escape rooms that have now moved to this venue, so make a whole day of it!
