Indy! recently had an Edinburgh preview at the Wilton’s Music Hall, presenting a whippy parody of the Indiana Jones trilogy.
Three amateur archaeologists are desperate to save their little society by presenting a fundraiser production of Indiana Jones, with home made props and a whole lot of confidence. A plethora of mishaps along the way provide immense entertainment throughout this hilarious show.
This small scale production manages to really fill the stage and auditorium with so much excitement and fun. The framing of the amateur club wanting to raise funds to keep their community centre slot is hilariously executed throughout, setting this three hander up for success right off the bat. The trio of actors present a breakneck speed-run of the Indiana Jones trilogy with so much passion and humour, it’s an absolute joy to watch.
Clever usage of simple props, and the very basic stage design come together to present a playful production filled with nostalgia and social commentary in equal measure. Providing plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, and even some audience interaction, it’s a fantastically funny show that will delight any fan of Indy!
