What follows is a side-splitting misadventure in holiday cheer. From falling lights to overly ambitious understudies, Mischief craft a hilarious version of A Christmas Carol that sees the actors competing to be heard over the uproarious laughing fits from the audience.
In typical Mischief fashion, physical comedy and stage craft underline the production, while excellent acting performances and a hilarious script do the rest. The myriad jokes wrapped into the narrative create a hilariously entertaining romp that commits itself to the Christmas spirit entirely. With an expertly designed stage that combines whimsical set pieces with hysterical miscommunications with the set builders, the merriment is off the charts. There is a plethora of funny surprises lurking around every corner, produced with expert timing in this fast-paced comedic masterpiece.
Both Scrooge and director-actor Chris learn a series of lessons on kindness and Christmas cheer while the stage falls apart behind them, actors have to multi-role entire families, surprising props and set pieces wreak havoc, and the audience is wrapped in gut-busting laughter. The funniest Christmas Carol to be staged in the West End yet! Another triumph for Mischief Theatre!
