Sensas, near Vauxhall in London, is a multi-sensory experience that is a bit, but not at all, like an escape room. The experience is designed for up to two teams of 4 to 15 people, and challenges all your senses to solve clues and win tokens. A maximum of 16 tokens are up for grabs across different challenges that involve all senses, one at a time.
The smell and taste challenges are possibly the most challenging, needing participants to smell or taste all kinds of items, identify what they are, and then match them to a corresponding number to open little safes that hold the tokens. If you’re a picky eater, or of the squeamish sort, make sure your team is rounded out with more adventurous sorts who can pick up where you step back. A well balanced team and a good spirit are definitely the key to making it through these earlier challenges.
Later on there a touch and listening games that can be quite difficult, but also really fun to try out. Following on are visual and finally physical games to test and entertain your team.
It’s a really well designed game that spans two hours, giving every single participant a chance to try every challenge and get as involved as they are comfortable with. An energetic and enthusiastic host follows along to guide the teams in what they need to do to beat the games and win the tokens.
My team of seven Phantom Peak enthusiasts had an absolute blast at Sensas, revelling in the variety of challenges, tackling every new game with passion and humour. It’s a very unique experience that is incredibly well designed to be fun, entertaining, and a little bit challenging in just the right measure. We won all 16 tokens, leading to a donation to a local charity as well!
With the right team, Sensas is a brilliantly entertaining game that will push you to the boundaries of your comfort zone!
