Don’t Go Into The Cellar provide Victorian and Edwardian theatre atmosphere in small venues. The performances are very intimate, often in somewhat spooky venues.
For the ghost story collection Restless Graves, I ventured to the Tea House Theatre in Vauxhall, which was darkened with black fabric for a cosy, spooky atmosphere.
This show isn’t a big one, there is just one actor on stage, but it’s a wonderfully atmospheric retelling of several ghost stories, bringing the audience back into the Victorian times to hear about tales of ghostly revenge, curses, and hauntings. Restless Graves was a fun little show to get into the mood for the spooky season, though a bit short for the price.
If you like old timey theatrics, DGITC is definitely one to keep an eye on.
