I’ve seen, and enjoyed, other Police Cops shows in the past, so knew I definitely had to book this one. I did have this exact show booked a few months back at the Park Theatre, but ended up being unwell and unable to go, so this was my chance to catch up!

If you’ve seen Police Cops, or Police Cops In Space, you know exactly what you’re in for with these guys. Crude humour and ridiculous physical comedy are two of the main elements of this troupe’s shows.

In Badass Be Thy Name, we meet a disgruntled, unmotivated young Mancunian who isn’t sure what to do with his life, when he is suddenly attacked by a vampire! Out of the dark, a priest flies in and rescues him, sparking a new interest and drive in the young man. In a series of ridiculous events, he tracks down the priest and joins him in his fight against the vampires. Who, as it turns out, are in league with Satan himself, on a quest to try every sweet ever created by man and only missing out on an experience of the “Manchester sweets” to complete his quest.

I have to say, I did not expect to see Satan sing about his love for everything sweet, nor to be presented with God speaking from a derrière, but this show really does have it all!

A hilariously ridiculous show in the same vein as Police Cops’ previous shows, if you’re looking for a short comedy that’s sure to make you laugh out loud, this one is it!
