When this show had a short run in London, I was unfortunately unable to attend due to other commitments (there’s just so much theatre to see and not enough time to see it all!), so I was quite excited to hear that they recorded one of their shows and are now offering it online for streaming!

BlackEyedTheatre are offering the stream of Sherlock Holmes – The Valley Of Fear until 22nd of January, from £10, on their website.

This play is of course adapted from the final Sherlock Holmes novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and stays very faithful to the original text. Holmes and Watson are faced with untangling a wide-reaching web of corruption, crime, and a secret society stretching all the way across the pond to Pennsylvania. An intriguing case with many turns and surprises, it’s a fantastic adaptation of the book.

The recorded staging of course offers best views for everyone, and sound production is handles remarkably well for a streamed show. With simple costumes and an intriguing stage design, the show seamlessly jumps across the pond and back several times, untangling the past to understand the current mysteries the detective duo is faced with. I really enjoyed catching up on the show online.

The Valley Of Fear is perfect for any Holmes afficionado with a few hours to spare, especially with the holidays approaching. Don’t miss out on this brilliant production!
