After having massively enjoyed The Curious Elevator of Mr. Hincks, I ordered another game from Blue Fish, The Curious Stairs of Mr. Hincks. As with the elevator game, this one comes with a variety of items to figure out different puzzles on the different floors of a building, but this time we’re taking the stairs! The props are really good quality, and there’s a lot of them!

On each floor, there is an envelope (on the digital platform that goes with the game) that gives a few hints as to which items need to be used. They work in conjunction with the digital content to then solve the puzzle to get a code word that opens the door to the next set of stairs.

Blue Fish Games is fast becoming my new favourite boxed game company, they always provide a great variety of really fun puzzles that are really clever in their presentation. I also love their clue system that just gives little nudges towards the right method of solving the puzzle, without giving away too much right away. This time the game included an analogue video game, an exclusion logic game, a pizza delivery service, and more!

I loved all the little challenges and spent a good hour and a half puzzling my way through. What a fun game, I hope they release another one very soon!
