I recently got a last minute ticket for After Life through a same-day return, and I am so glad I took the plunge and booked it spur of the moment. After Life asks some intense questions with a gentle hand and gorgeous depth.
The question is simple, what precious memory would you choose to life in for eternity in your personal after life? The answer is a lot harder to figure out. With a wide variety of different lived experiences and characters, we watched people’s lives and decisions being reviewed to find the one memory they most cherish bringing them peace and comfort for eternity.
Seeing these characters evaluating their own lives and morals was an emotional journey I wasn’t expecting to be going on that evening. But I was swept away by the care and love with which these big questions were approached, seeing people come to terms with their own death and the choices they made in their life. A monumental story told tenderly, I absolutely loved the show.
