I was a bit worried that this Deckscape pocket escape game would be a bit clichéd, but it turned out to be really fun and not to rely too much on clichés. The premise of the game is that you are on trip to Egypt and join a tour guide to see the pyramids of Giza. Of course, during the tour something goes wrong and you get locked in to a hidden room and suddenly facing a mummy chasing you. Thus you have to find your way out before the mummy catches up with you!

This Deckscape game definitely comes with a higher difficulty level than the others I have played previously, which is very stimulating. Some of the puzzles seem a little bit extra confusing, but always have logical conclusions if you pay attention to the finer details. It’s packed with puzzles and riddles that are innovative and fun, with lots of small surprises waiting for you.

I really enjoyed exploring the story and finding my way back out of the pyramid to help break the curse of the Sphinx. Another great card based escape game with an advanced difficulty level and so much to solve and tinker with. I’m looking forward to trying another game in the series.
