I really enjoy these Exit games, so I ordered a whole slew of them! Including this one. As with all Kosmos Exit games, it comes with a decoder disk, a stack of riddle cards, a stack of answer cards, several 3-card stacks of help cards and a few “strange items”. In this game, you have to escape from a polar station, as the name might suggest.

The premise is that you are a member of a research organization and work with your team in one of the science station on the North Pole. One day, the evacuation alarms go off and you get trapped while your colleagues manage to escape. You find your way to a connected station via the air ducts, but the doors are locked here as well. Additionally, there is a strange notebook and number locks absolutely everywhere. You must find your way out.

Again, there’s a variety of puzzles to solve in this game, but I thought the theme was a bit haphazardly thrown together. The story line didn’t really become apparent, it was just a series of random puzzles and riddles to solve. And one of them in particular felt a bit too primary school mind trick to me.

That said, it was still a fun game to solve despite irritating me a little with how some of the riddles were structured. It took me about an hour and quite a few clues to solve this one, so maybe not my biggest recommendation in the series, but more of a completionist game in the end. I’m planning to play my way through the entire Exit catalogue, so at least I checked this one off my list.
