Another trip to the Little Angel Theatre for a children’s show! This time with a 2 and a 3 year old in tow. The show is based on the book Wow! It’s Night Time!, which features many nocturnal animals in charming drawings.
The show features many little puppets, some illuminated from the inside, who skitter and flutter around the stage to show night time activity of animals. It’s quite cute and the puppets are absolutely gorgeous, but as there’s not much text in the book, it’s very quiet show. I found the children not focus entirely on what was happening on stage, and at times not quite understanding.
I did think it was a beautiful little show, but likely mostly suitable for under 2s as it’s visually engaging but not thematically super stimulating for older children. Still, a gorgeous little show based on a gorgeous little book.
