Beauty And The Beast

I recently got to see Jellyfish Theatre‘s production of Beauty and the Beast at Barons Court Theatre.

The venue is a small theatre close to Barons Court station, just down a flight of stairs in a gorgeous neighbourhood pub. The staff there were incredibly friendly and they have big comfy sofas to sit on.

Jellyfish Theatre put on creative, short plays for children aged 4+, and this production was no different. They customised their version of Beauty and the Beast to be more light hearted and child friendly with boisterous and colourful characters and lots of opportunities to participate.

There weren’t a lot of children in the audience, so the enthusiastic actors made sure to give everyone extra attention and lots of involvement in the story. The costumes, props, and backdrops were mostly made from cardboard, which was very charming.

It was super fun, a perfect production for small children.
