The Old Vic was showing a twentieth anniversary production of Art, starring Rufus Sewell, Tim Key, and Paul Ritter.
The play centers around three friends who become embroiled in small scale warfare over a disagreement about art. It all starts with a specific artwork and becomes a fight about art in general, the purpose and usefulness of art and friendships.
Funny and emotional, it’s a beautiful play, executed very well by great actors on a minimalist stage. I’m glad I decided to see this one while it was on.
I’m rating this one five out of six rainbow sloths.
